Returning home/visits from areas with A(H1N1) flu
Q: What should I do if I have been abroad in the past few weeks, but do not have
any symptoms of influenza or pneumonia?
A: You do not need to visit the doctor, stay in isolation or stay off
work or school. However, be particularly alert to any influenza-like
symptoms that may arise up to seven days after your journey, in which case
contact your doctor.
Q: What should I do if I am expecting a visit from abroad?
A: If the person who is visiting you has no symptoms, there is no
reason to assume that they can infect you with the virus. Infection
protection measures and contact with the health service is only necessary if
the person develops symptoms within 7 days.
Q: If I have recently returned home from abroad, can I visit the dentist or other
medical practitioner for a consultation or treatment?
A: Yes, as long as you are healthy and have no influenza-like symptoms
there are no restrictions on where you can go or which health services you
can visit. The health services do not need to implement special infection
protection measures against A(H1N1) flu as long as you do not have any
symptoms of an infectious illness.
